This set of precisely cast resin wheels replaces the plastic parts from an ordinary kit of the Fairey Barracuda Mk.II carrier aircraft. The package offers two types of wheel, so you can pick the version that matches your subject. The tires have a faithful profile and a finely suggested sidewall texture.
The Fairey Barracuda was a British carrier-based torpedo and dive bomber of the Second World War, used above all by the Fleet Air Arm. The Mk.II version was among the most widespread. Good wheels give a model on its landing gear the right character, especially if you build them with the tires shown weighted.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires matte, set the hubs apart and dust the whole lightly for a realistic look.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
