The set Panzerfaust 1:48 (5 pieces) from Offset Scale Models is a small accessory of armament for dioramas, vignettes and cargo on vehicles. It is not a kit of a vehicle or a figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on set of small armament, not a kit of equipment. According to the name the package contains five pieces of the German single-use antitank weapon Panzerfaust from the period of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. The parts suit vehicle interiors, cargo secured on beds and fenders, racks and small crates in diorama scenes and figure arrangements, where ordinary kits either do not contain this small armament at all or have it simplified in shape. The material, the dimensions and the way it is packed are stated on the box.
The Panzerfaust was a single-use antitank means with an oversized shaped charge warhead fitted onto a thin-walled launch tube. It was produced in several standards, which differed above all in the size of the warhead and in effective range. The name of the set does not make the particular version precise; when building a particular scene, compare the shape of the warhead and the length of the tube with period documentation.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks or the print supports with a sharp cutter or a fine saw, never by twisting them off — the thin tube breaks easily. Sand the trace of the cut with fine abrasive paper, ideally wet. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that no mold release agent or resin residue is left on the surface. It is glued with superglue; ordinary glue for plastic does not hold here. Apply a thin base coat and only then the base shade. Small armament comes across believably with a discreet dark wash in the hollows and a light dry brush on the edges; a final matte clear coat evens the surface out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
