Quarter scale is where aeroplanes and armour meet, and armament has to be there too. Weapon and ammunition sets in 1:48 offer machine guns with their mountings, 115 mm rounds for a T-62, cases left after firing, and light machine guns resting on folded bipods. The castings are dimensioned to hold their own beside a vehicle or on a vignette with a figure, and fine printing keeps the cooling fins on a barrel legible.
These sets match 1:48 military model kits for size and make a natural addition to both airfield and field scenes. Other sizes and calibres are in weapon and ammunition sets. The brass of spent cases comes up well in the metallic shades from model paints, finished with a light dry-brush along the edges.
