A New Ware masking set at the ADVANCED level for a model of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-28P interceptor, NATO reporting name Firebar, in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, they follow the glazing frames exactly and lift off with no adhesive residue. The ADVANCED level takes in the wheels and further detail elements besides the canopy glazing.
The Yak-28P is a two-seat supersonic interceptor built to destroy air targets in any weather. It stood out for its slender fuselage with underwing engine nacelles, a long drawn-out radome in the nose and a crew of pilot and operator seated in tandem.
Lay the mask on the degreased glazing of the long canopy and mask the lower areas with tape. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not bleed under the edge. Mask the wheels before the tires are sprayed, so that the rims stay clean.
These are self-adhesive painting masks, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
