A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust pipes of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-3 fighter in 1:48 scale. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the engine cowling are captured in the casting with hollowed outlets, so there is no laborious drilling of plastic parts. The part is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
On the light Yak the exhausts are very much in view and how they are made shapes the character of the nose. A resin casting offers thin walls and open outlets that are hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted in metal and rusty shades and lightly weathered, the burnt metal looks entirely natural.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
