An ammunition belt in 7.62x51 mm NATO caliber in 1:72 scale. A small accessory for weapons in the doors of helicopters and for ammunition boxes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 7.62x51 mm NATO caliber has been part of the common equipment of the armies of the North Atlantic Alliance since the 1950s and is used in machine guns to this day. In aviation you meet it mainly on weapons in the doors of helicopters and on rapid-firing rotary machine guns, which use up a length of belt that will not fit into an ordinary box. The belt running from the box to the weapon is therefore one of the prominent details of the real machines.
The set brings an ammunition belt in 1:72 scale. At this size it is a small thing, but it reliably fills the empty space at an open weapon position and gives the model scale.
Work with tweezers and over a surface with raised edges; at this scale the part is easy to lose. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder. Wash and degrease before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the part; on parts that are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue has proved itself, applied spot by spot so that the excess does not run into the relief. Painting in 1:72 scale takes less contrast: a dark base, a careful brass cast along the edges and only a faint wash.
For modelers of helicopters and modern equipment in 1:72 scale who are finishing the details of open positions. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
