About product

13x64b ammunition belt for the MG 131 in 1:72 scale (3DF)

This is an aftermarket detail accessory, not a kit. The set holds a 3D-printed resin 13x64b ammunition belt in the small 1:72 scale, meant for a faithful rendering of the feed on the German MG 131 aircraft machine gun. That weapon was fitted to a number of German fighters and bombers in the Second World War.

Material and working

The part is printed from modeling resin at high resolution and, even at the small scale, captures the rounds and the distinctive links of the MG 131 belt. Handling it calls for a delicate hand.

Usage tips

  • Separate the part from the supports under a magnifier and clean it up very gently.
  • Wash and degrease it before gluing.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Paint it with a brass shade for the rounds and a dark wash.

Who it is for

  • Builders of German Second World War aircraft models.
  • Experienced modelers focused on armament and fine detail.
  • Diorama builders and collectors.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin part. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
