The Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 in 1:24 from the Japanese brand Fujimi, the special Mabo edition. A plastic set of a coupe that is among the most famous Japanese rear-wheel-drive cars of all.
Responsibility details are not available.
The legendary hachiroku, that is the Toyota with the factory code AE86, as rendered by the Japanese brand Fujimi and in the special edition designated Mabo. The set is made by injection molding and matches the 1:24 scale, which is the one most commonly used for collectors' cars. The name of the edition is part of the maker's designation of the version.
The Sprinter Trueno was built in the first half of the 1980s and was one of the last small Toyotas with rear-wheel drive. It was powered by a sixteen-valve naturally aspirated four-cylinder of sixteen hundred cubic centimeters that revved beautifully, and the whole car weighed little. The combination of lightness, pop-up lights and an angular body made it a cult type that is still talked about today.
An angular body forgives fewer mistakes on sharp creases than rounded shapes, so concentrate the sanding on them and do not lower the creases needlessly. A two-tone finish with a stripe along the side calls for good masking tape and thin coats, so that paint does not creep under the tape. The pop-up headlights will once again test how cleanly you have managed the fit.
The kit is sold unassembled and without any finish; the finishing materials are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
