The kit Fujimi 1:700 Haruna 1944 Sho Ichigo Full Hull matches the state of the ship in the autumn of 1944, as the name of the item states.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fast battleship Haruna in her state from 1944 with a reference to the Sho Ichigo operation, as given in the name of the item. The full-hull version means that the hull continues below the waterline and the finished ship can be displayed out of a sea setting.
The designation Sho Ichigo belonged to the Japanese defensive plan for the Philippines of the autumn of 1944. A series of naval engagements around the island of Leyte falls within it, in which the remaining Japanese battleships took part. The Haruna was then among the units that were to attack the landing forces with gunfire. She came through the campaign, although other capital ships of the force did not return from it.
It pays to work calmly and to let every coat of paint dry thoroughly. Build the model in units: the hull separately, the superstructures separately and the armament apart from both. The small barrels and booms will take little handling, so attach them only after the large areas have been sprayed. The transition between the underwater and the above-water part calls for a straight masking line, which is best applied along the length of the hull in one go.
You receive the kit unassembled and without a finish. Paints and glue are bought separately, unless stated otherwise.
