1:35 Roof Gutters is a set of gutters and downpipes with which you finish the roof of a building in a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains the separate parts of a gutter system, that is gutters run along the edge of the roof and vertical downpipes that carry the water to the ground. They are assembled directly onto a finished building or onto a cutaway part of it, and you adjust the length to your own structure by cutting. It is an accessory kit for a house model, not the house itself.
A roof finished with a bare edge looks unbuilt, and the eye notices it before it can work out why. A downpipe, by contrast, gives the facade a vertical rhythm and above all creates a logical place for water marks: rusty streaks below the outlet, a dark band on the plaster, moss at the foot of the wall. It is exactly these small things that set a built backdrop apart from a place where somebody seems really to have lived.
First mark out on the edge of the roof where the gutter will run, and only then make the first cut. Dry-fit the parts and check the fall, so the gutter does not look as if the water ran uphill. Start the finish with a dark base, apply a zinc shade over it and finally rusty patches with a stippled brush. Hint at the vertical band below the outlet with a heavily thinned brown that you let run down. On older houses it pays to bend one gutter or pull it away from the wall; a damaged part says more about the state of a building than ten perfectly straight ones.
