The Polish TKS-D tank destroyer 1:72 is a plastic model of the prototype Polish self-propelled anti-tank gun of the late 1930s from First to Fight.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale captures the experimental Polish TKS-D tank destroyer. It is a compact kit of a small armored vehicle, fitting for a collection of Polish prewar equipment and as an accessory for a smaller diorama. The maker is a Polish brand specializing in the equipment of the Polish army of 1939.
The TKS-D was a prototype self-propelled anti-tank gun derived from the successful TKS tankette. The designers lengthened the chassis and fitted it with a more powerful 37 mm anti-tank gun, so that the Polish army would gain a light and mobile anti-tank weapon. The vehicle never reached series production: only two prototypes were built before war broke out in September 1939.
Separate the smaller parts with a sharp knife and clean them up with a file, and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. A base coat pays off before painting; it is advisable to finish the tracks and the running gear before closing the hull up. The typical Polish prewar finish comes out well with washes and fine dust pigments, which emphasize the detail and the breakdown of the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
