Six opened .50 caliber ammunition cans for the Browning M2 machine gun in 1:35 scale, the early form of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Browning M2 heavy machine gun of .50 inch, that is 12.7 mm, caliber was during the Second World War almost everywhere on American equipment: on tanks, armored personnel carriers and trucks alike. Ammunition was carried to it in sheet metal cans with a hinged lid and a folding handle. The cans lay about on fenders, on the rear of vehicles and on the ground around a position, so on a model and in a diorama they fill the space better than anything else.
Six ammunition cans in 1:35 scale, rendered with the lid open. They correspond to the early form, which differs from the later one in the detail of its construction. An open can suits a scene where ammunition is being topped up or where a crew has left equipment spread out around a vehicle.
It suits builders of American equipment and makers of dioramas who need to fill the space around a vehicle with credible small things. Six pieces are enough for one vehicle and a piece of terrain around it, and you do not have to glue them together one by one from plastic out of the box.
Six cans are supplied. A vehicle model, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
