A pigment for dusting and earthy soiling of models, in a shade named after Vietnamese soil.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pigment belongs among the products for soiling and aging a model. The shade takes its name from Vietnamese soil, so it suggests itself on vehicles and scenes from Southeast Asia: dusty fenders, deposits on the running gear, a dirty lower hull, an earthy veil on the boots of figures. It serves just as well anywhere else you need a warm earthy tone, and pigment shades can be mixed and layered with one another on top of that.
It is applied with a soft brush onto a finished, perfectly dry surface. Build it up gradually and in small amounts, because taking some away is easy, whereas overdone dusting is harder to remove. Wipe the excess off with a dry brush or a cotton swab, and press it into the corners and seams instead, because that is exactly where dirt clings most on real vehicles. The pigment is fixed permanently with the fixer or the thinner intended for this line, always following the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Count on the fixing darkening the shade slightly, so judge the result only once it has dried, not while you are applying it. On vertical surfaces work the strokes from the top down, so that the marks follow the direction in which water runs down a real machine and washes the dust away. Close the container carefully after work and keep your pigment brushes separate from your paint brushes; fine powder clings in the bristles and is easily carried into the next shade.
The fixer, the thinner, brushes and other aids are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
