The pigment Light Dust by CMK is a pale loose powder for a dry film. It suits the undersides of aircraft, desert equipment and the edges of country tracks in a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The lightest position of dust in the pigment range of the Czech brand CMK. The shade comes close to dried-out earth and a chalky film, that is, to what a drive along a dry road on a hot day leaves behind. On a dark base it stands out at once, while on a light one it acts rather as a softening and unifying of the surface.
The key is restraint. Take up a minimum of powder and build the effect in several passes, because a pale tone easily tips over into a chalky deposit on a model. Draw the strokes in the direction of the airflow or the movement of the machine, so that the dust hints at where it came from. It works splendidly in a pair with a darker dust shade: the light one on raised surfaces, the darker one into shadows and hollows. Leave fixing until the end and do it with a fine mist from a greater distance.
Modelers of aircraft and desert equipment, builders of figures and dioramas who want to settle a model into particular weather and landscape.
Do not inhale the stirred-up powder and keep the pot out of the reach of children.
Light dust comes into its own best on the underside of a vehicle and on the leading edges, where it swirled while driving. It can be fixed at the end, once the distribution is finished.
