This is a resin conversion set (not a kit in its own right) in 1:72 scale from the firm AML, which rebuilds a model of the twin-engined Dornier Do-17 into the antiship Z-5 variant. The set holds the cast parts needed for this modification and makes it possible to build the less usual naval version from a basic Do-17 Z. The set is intended for the ICM kit.
The Do-17, nicknamed the flying pencil, was a slender German bomber. The Z-5 version was adapted for operations over the sea, among other things with an eye to an emergency landing on the water and to use against shipping.
For advanced modelers who want to build the antiship Z-5 version from a basic Do-17 Z. It calls for experience with resin and with conversion work.
The conversion is supplied as resin castings, unpainted and without glue. The base model is not included in the package.
