Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a scene from the Polish brand Brainstorm Troopers. The subject is a light reinforced-concrete fortification with an embrasure for a machine gun, of the kind the Polish army built in the second half of the 1930s. The name carries the designation x 3, that is a trio of objects for one scene.
Poland was building several fortified sectors at once at that time. The densest network grew up in Silesia, further works were built on the Narew and at Wizna. The pillboxes were mostly small, reckoned on one or two weapons and a crew of a few men, and their task was to delay an advance, not to stop it. In the September fighting it turned out that an isolated work with no connection to others holds only until the enemy brings up engineers or a gun for direct fire. Some crews nevertheless held out far longer than was expected. A trio of identical structures moreover makes it possible to build a coherent sector of defense instead of a single isolated point.
Concrete looks convincing when it is painted in several shades of gray and completed with dirt running down at the edges. Sink the bottom of the structure into the terrain and heap earth or grass around it, otherwise it looks merely set on the surface. Darken the opening of the embrasure markedly so that it does not look shallow.
Figures, a base and greenery are not supplied.
