A decal set in 1:48 scale devoted to the combat aircraft committed over Afghanistan in the period from 1980 to 1990. The box holds water-slide (wet) decals with national insignia and markings for a wide range of machines; it is an accessory for a built and painted model, not a kit.
During the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan a number of types of aircraft met over the country. The set covers markings for Soviet fighter and attack machines such as the MiG-23, MiG-21bis, Su-25, Su-17 and Su-7, but also aircraft of neighboring countries, for example the F-16, the Mirage III or Chinese derivatives of MiGs. Thanks to that a modeler can choose both a particular machine and its affiliation.
Apply the decals onto gloss varnish, and use a decal softener and a setting solution for adhesion to the detail. Once dry, spray a protective varnish over them to unify the surface. The particular schemes and their placement are in the instructions enclosed in the set.
It is an accessory (decals), not a model of an aircraft. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
