Painting masks for the marking and insignia of the memorial coloring of the Panavia Tornado GR.4 aircraft from 2019 in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panavia Tornado GR.4 was a British combat aircraft with a wing of variable sweep. The wing swung back in flight, so the machine managed both a slow approach over the target and a fast pass at low altitude. In the GR.4 version the Tornado served with the Royal Air Force for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance. Operation of the type with the Royal Air Force ended in 2019 and several machines were given a memorial coloring on that occasion.
These are painting masks for the marking and insignia of the farewell coloring of 2019, cut for 1:32 scale. A sprayed marking has no glossy edge of a carrier film and does not crease even on an intricate surface, which is clearly apparent in a large scale. The extent of the sheet, the exact placement of the individual parts and the recommended order of shades are described in the manufacturer's instructions. Compare the shape of the parts with your own model in advance.
The masks are stuck on before spraying, never onto a finished coat. Let the base color cure properly, then lay the mask on and press the edges down with a toothpick, so that paint does not run under them. Spray in several thin layers: one heavy layer will run under sooner than three light ones. Take the mask off while the finish is fresh and pull it away at an angle backward, not straight off the surface.
The set suits modelers of a large scale who want the marking sprayed instead of applied. The package contains masks; paints, glue and the kit itself are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
