A detailed set of landing flaps for the Tupolev Tu-104A in 1:144 scale from LACI. It makes it possible to show the wing with the flaps extended in the landing configuration, which markedly livens up the silhouette of an airliner model. The set is intended for the kit from A-Model and replaces the original fixed trailing edge of the wing. It is not a standalone model but an accessory for raising the detail.
The Tupolev Tu-104 was a Soviet twin-engine jet airliner, one of the first in the world to enter scheduled service. It was derived from the Tu-16 bomber and in the second half of the 1950s it markedly shortened flying times on long routes. The Tu-104A version had a rearranged cabin layout for a larger number of passengers.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the flaps and their mechanism before the final assembly, so that you can reach everywhere. Check the fit with the wing of the kit carefully.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
