About product

Landing gear bay plugs 1:48: Fw 190A-6 (Omask)

These are shaped masking plugs for the landing gear bays (wheel wells) in 1:48 scale, intended for models of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-6 fighter. The plugs are put into the open bays before spraying and keep the paint from getting inside. It is not a paint and not a building part: it is an aid for masking.

Use

  • Push the shaped plugs into the wheel wells before the top coat is sprayed.
  • Spray the camouflage or the varnish without it running into the bays.
  • Take the plugs out once it has dried; the inside of the bay stays in its original color.

Who they are for

They will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp transitions and a clean interior in the landing gear bays without laborious taping. The set is matched to the shape of the bays of the type in question.

The paints and the model are not included in the package. The plugs serve only for temporary masking during painting.
