1:48 MH-60L Black Hawk seatbelts STEEL are steel seat belts for the crew of a model of the helicopter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set deals with the seat belts in the cabin of the MH-60L helicopter in 1:48 scale. The belts are etched from steel and are supplied in a colored rendition, so that once formed they head straight for the seats. Behind the set stands the Czech brand Eduard from Obrnice near Most.
A molded plastic harness is always flat and merges with the seat. A metal strap, by contrast, allows a wave to be formed that imitates fabric thrown loosely over a backrest, and the interior comes alive at once. On a helicopter with a glazed nose and sliding side doors open, this difference is visible from every angle. The difference also stands out as soon as figures of the crew are placed in the cabin.
Steel is cut with photo-etch scissors or a scalpel and must not be bent repeatedly in the same place. Before gluing it pays to degrease the flat areas with alcohol; the printing then holds more reliably. The buckles are formed over the edge of a steel rule and secured with a spot of super glue applied on the tip of a toothpick. Any remains of glue have to be wiped off at once; later they are hard to remove from the printing. A strap that is too long is better shortened only after a dry fit, as it cannot be lengthened again.
