A figure of a German soldier with the MG 34 machine gun in 1:35 scale. It will complete a diorama and a model of equipment of the same scale alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a German soldier with the MG 34 machine gun. The MG 34 was a general-purpose machine gun in 7.92 millimeter caliber with belt feed for the cartridges; the German army adopted it in the mid-1930s and used it throughout the Second World War. It served as the light machine gun of the squad and as a heavy machine gun on a tripod mount alike, so a figure with it fits an infantry scene just as well as the defense of a position. In reality the machine gunner did not work alone, but with an assistant who carried the ammunition and watched the belt.
The package contains one figure of a German soldier in 1:35 scale. A standing adult figure corresponds to roughly five centimeters in this scale, so the figure fits in size with models of military equipment and of buildings of the same scale. How many parts the figure and the weapon consist of and how they are fitted is stated in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remnant down carefully, so that the engraving of the folds of the clothing and of the equipment is preserved. Wash and degrease the figure before painting. It pays off to paint the weapon separately from the figure, otherwise you will not reach the underside and the belt. Paint the face and the hands before you set the figure into the scene. Choose the kind of glue according to the material of the figure and the procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The figure is for modelers who are building an infantry diorama or who want to add an escorting squad to a model of a vehicle. It goes well together with further figures from the same line. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
