An operator of a special unit: 1:10 Ukrainian Soldier Bust 05 is a resin bust in 1:10 scale, the fifth number of the Ukrainian line from BlackSnake Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The manufacturer lists the fifth number of the Ukrainian line of busts as a member of the Omega special unit. The treatment matches the subject: the equipment is denser and more broken up than with ordinary infantry, which makes the bust a rewarding object for painters who like many small surfaces next to one another. The bust arrives on its own and with no surface finish.
Omega is a special unit of the Ukrainian National Guard which carries out counterterrorist, reconnaissance and rescue tasks. Its members use equipment close to Western standards, so a modular plate carrier, an open ballistic helmet with rails and personal electronics meet on them. It is precisely this mixture that gives present-day figures their unmistakable appearance.
Equipment broken up like this tempts you to paint every element differently, and the result then looks like a mosaic. Keep to a limited palette, therefore, and build the differences on the surface rather than on the color: rubber glossy, nylon semi-matte, textile completely matte. At the end bring the cables and the loops out with a thin line of a darker tone, not with a white light, which would enlarge them to the eye.
You will find neither a plinth nor badges in the box, and no paints either.
