1:48 EMB 312 Tucano mask is a self-adhesive masking set for the clear parts of the trainer aircraft from the Czech brand Omask.
Responsibility details are not available.
The self-adhesive pre-cut shapes from the Omask brand follow the framing of the cockpit canopy of the Brazilian trainer in 1:48 scale. The modeler only peels them off the backing, seats them on the glass and covers the rest of the area. That does away with the most unpleasant part of the work, that is cutting narrow strips to follow curves, where it is easy to miss.
The cockpit tends to be the first thing anyone notices on a finished model. Tape cut by hand leaves an uneven edge and, when peeled off, likes to tear the paint of the frame away with it. Shaped masks have their edge led exactly along the engraving, so after spraying a sharp line stays and the glass is clean. The result shows above all with large canopies, where the eye has a long straight edge to compare against.
First wash the clear part in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry; without degreasing a mask does not hold. Seat the shapes with tweezers and press them down with the tip of a toothpick, especially in the corners. Then comes a thin layer of the cockpit shade, then the base and finally the top color. Peel the film off immediately once the last coat of paint has dried, at a sharp angle.
This is a masking aid; obtain the parts of the aircraft separately.
