The real subject

The Vickers K, known also under the designation Vickers Gas Operated, was a British machine gun in 7.7 mm caliber, .303 in British designation. The rounds were fed into it from a pan magazine fitted on top, and the weapon was notable for a high rate of fire, which suited short bursts from a hand-operated gun position. During the Second World War it served on the flexible gun positions of British aircraft and it became the armament of the light vehicles of the desert units as well.

Building and painting tips

Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remnant down carefully, so that you do not wipe the fine shapes away. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: whatever is not polystyrene is reliably held by super glue. The weapon stands out once a dark metal shade is sprayed on and the edges are accentuated lightly; during the fitting go by the manufacturer's instructions.
