Among figure painters, 1:16 scale belongs to the generous ones. An adult figure in it measures around eleven centimeters, which is more than double compared with the usual military scales. The difference shows on everything: the face has real features, the hands have fingers, the seams and the folds of the cloth are visible on the clothing. That is precisely why large scales are not built for the sake of a scene but for the sake of the painting. A figure of this size is displayed in its own right, usually on a plinth in a display case, and every decision the painter made is visible on it.
The set carries the name Posledni bitva and is carried among figures in 1:16 scale. For a closer identification of the subject and for the number of parts, look to the maker's instructions; it is good to have them to hand before gluing.
Try the parts dry first, so that the folds of the clothing continue into one another; gaps cannot be hidden at this scale, and that is why you should fill and sand them. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part, sand the remainder and wash and degrease the figure before painting and go over it with primer. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Paint in thin layers and work from the darker tones to the lighter ones; at a large scale a figure will carry even the fine transitions that would be lost on a small one. Leave the face until the end and work on it in good light.
For modelers who devote themselves to painting figures and want a larger format than the military scales give. Paints, glue and a plinth are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
