The light gray form of the Bugatti EB110 GT supercar, scaled down to 1:64. A car with a twelve-cylinder, four turbochargers and all-wheel drive, cast in metal and supplied finished.
Responsibility details are not available.
Behind the rear of the EB110 hides a powerplant that nobody else had at the beginning of the 1990s: twelve cylinders arranged in a V, a displacement of 3.5 liters, sixty valves and four turbochargers at once. The output went to all four wheels through a six-speed transmission, which made the car one of the first supercars that could be used even in the rain.
Romano Artioli built a brand-new plant for the revived marque near Modena and opened it in 1990, exactly on the one hundred tenth birthday of Ettore Bugatti. The figure in the designation of the car comes from there as well. The operation lasted a mere five years and the abandoned building later became a place of pilgrimage for enthusiasts.
The light gray is the color that accompanied the brand's press photographs in the 1990s. In a small scale it has one advantage: it does not hide the shaping but on the contrary brings out the transitions between the surfaces and the line of the side intakes.
The model is finished, of metal, with the wheels shod in rubber and the glazing set in from the outside. Nothing is assembled. It belongs among the pieces that tend to be a first step into a collection of Italian supercars, because the EB110 is rarer today than its far better known rivals of the same period. In a display case it does well in the company of cars with the same pedigree, that is machines of the end of the millennium which did not yet have the electronic aids of today's generation.
