A flexible cable 0.80 mm in diameter, two meters long. Material for imitating wiring and hoses on car and motorcycle models in scales from 1:6 to 1:24.

An open engine bay gives away every unfinished detail, and conversely a dense network of lines and hoses makes it the most interesting place on the whole model. Flexible cable is the material for exactly that. Ignition wiring, fuel and brake hoses, connections to the instruments and lines outside the car are all run from it. Because the material is pliable, the cable holds a curve by itself and does not look like a wire bent by force.
The package contains two meters of cable 0.80 mm in diameter, and the manufacturer recommends it for scales from 1:6 to 1:24. Converting shows where it fits: in 1:24 scale this diameter corresponds to just under two centimeters on a real car, in 1:12 scale to roughly one centimeter and in 1:6 scale to just under half a centimeter. In larger scales it therefore serves for thin lines, and in smaller ones for thicker bundles and hoses. The same range also offers a thinner and a thicker diameter, so the lines on one model can be graded to match the real thing.
Shorten the cable with a sharp blade or modeling scissors so that the end stays square and is not crushed. Measure the length along the real route including the bends, not as the crow flies, or you will come up short. The end holds best in a pre-drilled hole with a drop of super glue. Lead bends in a gentle curve; a sharp kink will stay in the cable.
The model, glue, paints and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
