Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet SG-43 machine gun, or rather of its modernized SGM version, in the large 1:6 scale from I Love Kit. It is not a vehicle and not an aircraft but a faithful model of the weapon itself, which once assembled makes a striking display piece with generous detail. The package holds parts for building the weapon on a mount or on a wheeled carriage.
The SG-43 Goryunov was a Soviet heavy machine gun introduced during the Second World War as a replacement for the older Maxim. It was air-cooled and used the 7.62 mm cartridge. After the war the modernized SGM version appeared with changes to the barrel and the mechanism. The weapon spread to a number of armies and was used in many conflicts.
Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic and pay attention to the moving and the fine components. The metal look of the weapon comes from a dark base color and shades of steel, and if you like from light polishing or graphite on the exposed edges. A final weathering and a distinction between the wooden and the metal parts suit it well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
