A paint from the IONIC line carried under the manufacturer's part number IONIC-0011 and the name Rotten Yellow. It is a yellow shade whose name points to decay, that is, to a yellow that is muddied and dirty rather than clean and bright. Compare the exact tone against the manufacturer's color chart before you use it on a larger area.
Muddied yellows are used where time and dirt are meant to show: on faded warning stripes and lettering, on old canvas and wood, on stained walls, on waste water and mud in a diorama. On figures they serve for the unhealthy, sickly skin tones of fantasy and horror subjects and for yellowed teeth and nails. Mixed a little at a time into a green or a brown, it shifts the tone toward a weathered, dried-out shade.
Stir the contents thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Yellow shades usually need more coats than dark colors and come out better over a light surface, so apply them thin and add the next one only once the previous has dried. Choose the thinner and the ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; for an airbrush it needs more thinning than for a brush. Try the shade on a test piece and rinse the tools right after work, as a dried film is considerably harder to remove.
The package contains the stated shade. The thinner, brushes and varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
