A modeling paint from the IONIC line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade carries the name Coral: a warm tone on the border between pink and orange. How the shade finally looks is affected by the surface underneath and by the thickness of the coat, so it pays to compare it against the manufacturer's color chart before painting a whole part.
Warm pink-orange tones come into their own where a surface is meant to look lively: on figures and their gear, on small accessories, on the interiors of civilian vehicles or as the starting tone for lighter transitions and edge highlights. It mixes well with light creamy shades when you need to soften the tone.
Before you start, think the order through: light warm tones go on over a light surface, and over a dark area they also need an undercoat, otherwise they stay translucent and uneven.
Choose the thinner and the ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and reach for the thinner intended for this line. Stir the paint thoroughly before work so that the pigment joins with the binder. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one: it covers more evenly and does not flood the fine relief. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand, and on smooth areas a primer helps. Wipe the bottle around the neck after work and close it carefully so that the paint does not dry out.
This is one paint, not a set of shades. The thinner, primer, varnish and brushes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
