A pistol-type trigger as a separately sold spare part for the Gaahleri GHAD-68 airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The control element decides how long you will last at the bench. A classic button on the back of the body is held with the thumb and the index finger from above, whereas an element of the pistol type is pulled like the trigger of a power tool, so the hand stays relaxed and the wrist in a natural position. The difference shows above all on long areas, on large-format bases and everywhere it is necessary to hold the spray for tens of seconds without a twitch.
This piece is intended for the machine marked GHAD-68 from the maker's advanced range. It is bought either as a replacement for a damaged or bent original, or as a spare for a workshop where spraying is done daily and the loss of a tool does not pay.
Before fitting it, check whether the new element moves along its whole travel without resistance and whether it returns to the rest position by itself. Sticking is more often the work of dried paint under the control than a fault of the component, so flush the dismantled airbrush out thoroughly on that occasion. Leave the holders and other small things only lightly tightened during reassembly; an overtightened thread can damage the body. Once assembled, it is good to test the action dry, that is with air only, and to pour the paint in afterwards. You will thereby reveal a leak or a badly seated needle before an uneven spray marks a model you are in the middle of.
