A set of the means of transport used in southern Vietnam in the 1960s and 1970s, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Transport in southern Vietnam in the 1960s and 1970s had a character of its own. Alongside the military columns, the roads carried the vehicles in which local people got to work and to market, and it is their presence that sets a scene from the Southeast Asia of that time apart from any other theater. For a diorama they are valuable for that reason: they give it a place and a time even if only a single military item remains in it.
It holds means of transport in 1:35 scale, that is in the size that matches ordinary figures and models of military vehicles. The exact contents of the set and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The elements can be used as a subject of their own, as an addition to a column or to bring a background to life, where a single piece leaning against a wall is enough.
Try the assembly dry first and think over which pieces will be in the foreground; only those need the full measure of detail. Wash and degrease the surface before painting and apply the paint in thin layers, so that the fine shapes are not lost. Civilian vehicles tend to be more colorful than military ones, so do not be afraid of richer shades, which you then even out with a thin layer of dust. Dusty undersides, rubbing at the places that get handled and a small load turn the set into a scene.
For builders of dioramas who want to show ordinary life around the military vehicles, and for modelers looking for a less usual subject. Figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
