A kit of the French Dassault Mirage IIICJ fighter in Israeli service, where the machines carried the name Shahak, in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage III is a French supersonic fighter with a delta wing and no horizontal tail surfaces, powered by a single turbojet engine. It is the shape of the wing that gave it the characteristic silhouette you will recognize even in a small scale. The IIICJ version was delivered to the Israeli Air Force and the machines there were given the name Shahak. In the 1960s they were among the main fighter equipment and they are bound up with the best-known episodes of the Israeli Air Force of the day.
This is a model in 1:144 scale, that is in the small size in which an aircraft fits even into a modest display cabinet and is well suited to collecting in whole rows. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, so for the build you need glue, paints and basic tools. The extent of the decal sheet and the number of color options differ from one model to another in this scale; they are specified in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
In 1:144 scale cleanliness is the key: the parts are small, so separate them with a sharp blade rather than by twisting, and sand the joints with fine paper so that the surrounding detail does not disappear. Apply the paint in thin layers, otherwise you will clog the finely suggested surface. The canopy is very small at this size, so it pays to mask it with narrowly cut tape and to fit it only after the fuselage has been painted.
For collectors in small scale and for modelers who want an Israeli scheme without any demand on space. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
