A set of period car batteries in 1:35 scale for detailing the engine bay and the cargo space of military vehicles. The package holds six pieces in two shapes, three of each.
Responsibility details are not available.
A truck battery for a 24-volt system measures around twenty-six centimeters in reality. If you reduce it thirty-five times, what is left of it is a little block barely eight millimeters long. Yet it is small things like this that settle whether a raised hood or a folded-down side of the bed looks like a machine or like an empty shell.
The package brings six batteries, three of one version and three of the other. The pair of shapes matches the practice of the day: the size of the case followed the capacity demanded by the starter of a diesel engine and by the electrical equipment connected to it, and a single vehicle therefore commonly carried two different batteries side by side.
They will find a use in the engine bay, on the running board, in a box bolted to the frame and also lying loose among the equipment of a workshop vehicle. An interesting effect also arises where a battery serves as part of the background scenery at a field repair shop, that is, away from the vehicle itself.
The cases have smooth side surfaces that take paint well and also take the later sharpening of the edges with a dry brush. The terminals and the connecting straps deserve a different metallic shade, because otherwise a small part is lost in the overall view. A sister item in the same range offers batteries for heavy trucks and holds three pieces, so the two packages can be combined according to how many power sources the particular subject is to carry.
