A conversion set for a model of the Bf 109 G-2 in 1:32 scale. According to the name it starts from kits of the G-6 version from the Hasegawa and Revell brands.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109 G-2 is one of the first versions of the so-called Gustav, the German fighter with the liquid-cooled inverted V12 DB 605. It can be told from the later G-6 version above all by the smooth back of the engine cowling: the G-6 was given heavier machine guns over the engine, which forced prominent breech covers, whereas the G-2 has a cowling without them. It is precisely this difference that makes two distinct models out of the two versions, even though it is the same aircraft.
The set serves to rework a kit of the G-6 version in 1:32 scale into the G-2 version. According to the name it is cut for kits from the Hasegawa and Revell brands. Which parts the package holds and what has to be cut off or sanded away from the kit during the conversion are given in the manufacturer's instructions; a conversion means cutting into the parts, so read the procedure before you start gluing.
If the parts are not polystyrene, cement for polystyrene will not hold on them; use super glue or a two-part glue. Cut the excess material and the production marks away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder flat. Always try a new part dry first and level the surface on the kit so that it seats without a gap; fill and sand any joint before painting. Before laying down the paint, wash and degrease the parts and go over them with a primer, otherwise the paint will rub off the smooth surface.
For more experienced modelers who build in a large scale and are not afraid to cut into a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
