Trumpeter 1:700 German Scharnhorst Battleship is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German battleship of the Second World War, from a modern mold.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the German battleship Scharnhorst in 1:700 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model from Trumpeter, made from a modern mold. The smaller scale makes it a rewarding display model and a good basis for a collector's fleet.
Scharnhorst was the lead ship of the German battleship class of the same name that served in the Second World War. She was notable for her high speed and heavy armament and took part in a number of operations in the Atlantic and in northern waters. Her career ended at the Battle of the North Cape at the end of 1943.
The hull can be built as a full hull or in the waterline version, as you prefer. Use liquid cement on the plastic and fit the small parts with tweezers. The painting follows the wartime German naval grays; spray the transitions and the camouflage scheme with an airbrush and pick out the detail with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
