A photo-etched detail set for the destroyer IJN Shimakaze (1944) in 1:700 scale from Tetra Model Works. A collection of photo-etched parts for sharpening up a ship kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not a kit. The set from Tetra Model Works holds photo-etched parts with which you lift the detail of a plastic kit of the Japanese destroyer Shimakaze in her 1944 state in 1:700 scale. It typically replaces railings, ladders, radar screens, platforms and fine booms.
The Shimakaze was an experimental Japanese destroyer famous for exceptionally high speed and heavy torpedo armament. She remained the only vessel of her type and served in the Pacific in the Second World War. The 1944 state matches the late configuration with strengthened anti-aircraft armament.
Separate the photo-etched parts, shape them along the bends and glue them on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Work from the large platforms toward the fine railings. Degrease the surfaces and apply a primer before painting. The set is meant for experienced ship modelers.
This is an accessory (a detail set), not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
