Tamiya Japanese destroyer Shimakaze 1:700 is a plastic kit of a Japanese destroyer from the Waterline series in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese destroyer Shimakaze from Tamiya in 1:700 scale. The model is done in the Waterline style, that is only the part of the hull above the waterline, so that it can be displayed as if under way. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Shimakaze was a Japanese destroyer completed during the Second World War, famous for its above-average speed and its exceptionally heavy torpedo armament. It was a one-off experimental type and remained the only ship of its class.
Glue the injection-molded parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. The hull is built as a waterline model; fine photo-etched accessories such as railings suit raising the detail of the deck and the armament. A separate stand can be bought for display, or the model can be set onto a water base. It is painted with a brush as well as an airbrush, and a primer is recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
