Precisely turned brass barrels for the American 5in/51 naval gun (127 mm caliber, that is 5 inches, 51 calibers length) in 1:700 scale from the MASTER company. The package contains 22 pieces and replaces the plastic barrels with a more accurate metal part.
The long 5in/51 casemate gun served as the anti-ship secondary armament of many American warships. A generous set of 22 barrels covers the numerous casemate batteries, for example on a model of USS Arizona.
Turned brass guarantees long, straight barrels with a symmetrical muzzle, which a plastic molding cannot reach at this length. The model thus gains a faithful and sharp look to its armament.
Cut off the original barrel, widen the hole with a fine drill and glue the metal part in with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the brass before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
