Armory 1:72 – two MZBD-U4T racks and eight OFAB-100-120 bombs is a resin add-on set of aircraft weapons for models of Soviet combat aircraft.

An add-on armament set in resin – this is not a standalone aircraft kit but an accessory with which you equip a model of a Soviet or Russian combat aircraft. The package holds two multiple MZBD-U4T bomb racks and eight high-explosive fragmentation OFAB-100-120 bombs of the hundred-kilogram class.
Multiple racks allowed Soviet aircraft to carry several bombs at once on one pylon and thus markedly raise the weight of a salvo in attacks on area targets. The OFAB-100-120 bombs were among the most widespread aircraft munitions of the Eastern Bloc and were typically carried by fighter bombers and ground attack aircraft of Soviet design. A model with fully loaded racks looks far more convincing than one with the empty pylons from a kit.
Before building, wash the parts in warm water with detergent so that no mold release agent from production stays on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a modeling saw or a sharp knife and sand the mark down. Resin is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) – ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on it. Spray the bodies of the bombs according to period practice, and a dark wash will bring out the small detail.
An add-on set – the base model of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package.
