This is an aftermarket metal detail set, not a kit. The set contains precisely turned brass barrels for the 20 mm cannons and a pitot tube for a model of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. The metal parts are strong, with sharply rendered muzzles, and they replace the simplified plastic items from the kit.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American single-engine attack aircraft with a piston engine, in service from the end of the Second World War through to the Vietnam War, valued for its large load capacity and its toughness. The wing cannons and the pitot tube are among its prominent details.
Drill holes of the matching diameter in the parts on the model and glue the metal parts in with cyanoacrylate. The brass can be roughened before gluing for better paint adhesion; paint the barrels in a dark metallic color.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
