This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the British cruiser tank A-34 Comet in the Mk.1B variant in 1:72 scale. The model from Vespid Models is among the modern, finely worked kits with rich detail. In the package you will find plastic parts, a photo-etched fret for the fine elements and an optional metal gun barrel; the decal sheet offers several marking options.
The Comet was the last British tank to see combat in the Second World War. It grew out of the concept of the Cromwell tank but carried a more powerful 77 mm gun (derived from the famous 17-pounder) and improved armor. Thanks to its excellent performance and speed it served with the British army for many years after the war and was exported to other countries as well.
Finish and paint the running gear before closing the hull. Glue the parts with a thin modeling glue for plastic and the fine photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend a primer base and spraying with an airbrush; build the weathering up with washes and pigments, with an emphasis on mud and dust on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
