A-7 Corsair II masking set 1:72 (Eduard)

A pre-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the American A-7 Corsair II jet attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not a model, but a set of pre-cut masks for accurate painting of the framing of the glazed cockpit and other details.

The real subject

The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American single-engine subsonic attack aircraft built for precise strikes on ground targets. It served with the Navy and with land-based air forces and proved itself thanks to its large weapons load and good range; it was in action from the Vietnam War onwards.

Use

• Separate the individual masks from the sheet and stick them precisely onto the glazing frames.
• Press the edges of the masks down thoroughly with a stick or a toothpick, so that paint cannot bleed underneath.
• Spray the areas with an airbrush or paint them with a brush, and take the masks off carefully once they are dry.
• Make use of the masks for the wheel rims and other small curved areas as well, where straight tape is hard to shape.
