Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set of the Quickboost brand from the Czech manufacturer Aires brings a faithfully cast nose radar cover, the radome, in the early version for a model of the American carrier-based Douglas A3D-2 Skywarrior bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail and correction accessory for more experienced modelers that replaces the nose cover from a plastic kit with a casting of the correct shape matching the early machines.
The Douglas A3D Skywarrior (later redesignated the A-3) was a large American twin-engine jet carrier bomber, deployed from the 1950s from the decks of aircraft carriers. It was among the largest aircraft operating regularly from a deck and, besides the strike role, it also served for reconnaissance. The shape of the nose radome differed between versions.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that any mold release residue is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with plastic cement. Try the fit dry before painting; resin may need a little cleaning up, and the joint with the fuselage should be carefully leveled and filled if needed.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
