A colored photo-etched instrument panel for the Japanese carrier-based Mitsubishi A5M fighter in the late A5M2 and A5M4 versions in 1:72 scale. It is a finished cockpit accessory, not an aircraft kit. Thin etched metal with pre-printed colored dials replaces the panel from the kit and, even in a small scale, gives the pilot's compartment a faithful and readable look without hand painting.
The Mitsubishi A5M, designated Claude by the Allies, was a Japanese single-seat carrier-based fighter of the second half of the 1930s with fixed landing gear and an open cockpit. It was the first all-metal Japanese carrier fighter with a low-wing layout and became the direct predecessor of the famous Zero. The late A5M2 and A5M4 versions were among the most widespread.
Break the panel out of the fret, remove the original instrument panel of the kit and seat the new one in its place. It holds best with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue or a glue for photo-etch. The part is tiny, so work with fine tweezers and try it for fit before fixing it.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
