The set New Ware 1:72 AC-130J Ghostrider BASIC kabuki masks is a masking accessory of kabuki paper for a model of the AC-130J gunship. It is not a kit.

Pre-cut masks of kabuki paper for a model of the four-engine AC-130J gunship in 1:72 scale. Working with them is straightforward: you lay the mask on, press the edges down, spray and lift it off once dry. On a large airframe with an extensively glazed flight deck they save a great deal of time against cutting individual strips out of masking tape, where it is also easy to scratch a clear part. It is neither a model nor parts for a kit, but an aid for painting from the Czech manufacturer New Ware.
New Ware keeps three levels of set for this type. BASIC is the basic one, while ADVANCED and EXPERT cover a greater extent. The level is therefore a choice of how thoroughly you want to mask the model. Check the particular list of areas each level deals with on the box. If you are building a model for a display case without an extreme degree of detail, the basic level is usually amply enough.
The AC-130J Ghostrider is the newest of the gunships derived from the C-130 Hercules transport. Its basis is the stretched C-130J version with more modern avionics and four turboprop engines with six-blade propellers. The machine carries side-firing armament and targeting systems and serves for direct support of ground forces, especially in cooperation with special forces. On a model it is told from an ordinary Hercules by the sensor fairings and the openings in the side of the fuselage.
The set is an accessory for painting a model. It holds neither the kit nor paints.
