1:72 Aero L-29 is an Eduard photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale for a model of the Czechoslovak jet trainer L-29 Delfin — metal parts for a kit, neither a mask nor the model itself.

A set of photo-etched metal parts by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Aero L-29 in 1:72 scale. It belongs among the photo-etched accessories, that is parts that are cut from the fret, folded and glued permanently onto the model — that is the difference from the masking lines, which only serve for painting and end up in the bin after use. The small 1:72 scale demands more of the work with photo-etched parts than the large 1:32, because the individual parts are often only a few millimeters across. The set is not a kit; the base model is a must.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was a Czechoslovak two-seat jet trainer with tandem seats, a straight wing and a T-tail. It first flew at the end of the 1950s and became the standard training machine for a number of air forces of the Eastern Bloc; it was built in large numbers and still flies in civilian hands today. The design was deliberately simple and rugged, with the emphasis on undemanding operation.
In 1:72 scale photo-etched parts prove themselves above all on the instrument panel, the seats, the harness and on thin external sheet parts. Work over a light tray with a rim so that a tiny part does not fly off onto the floor. Cut with a scalpel, not with cutters, and hold the part down with the tip of your tweezers so that it does not jump away. Make the folds in a bending tool with a fine jaw; with parts this size annealing tends not to pay off, because overheated metal becomes brittle. Dose the glue in truly minute amounts — best of all a drop of super glue on a tile, carried over on the tip of a pin. Degrease the metal and spray a thin coat of primer before painting; in a small scale every further coat of paint takes away from the crispness of the detail, so paint as thinly as you can.
The set contains photo-etched parts only. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
