Turned metal Pitot tubes for a model of the Aero L-29 Delfin in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer MASTER. A strong replacement for the thin plastic probes on the nose.

A metal accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The set brings turned Pitot tubes for a model of the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin trainer in 1:72 scale. Trainers are often modeled in a glossy or colorful scheme, so a small bent plastic detail on the nose shows at once; a metal probe removes that problem once and for all.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was a jet trainer of Czechoslovak design, built from the beginning of the sixties. It was a two-seat machine with the seats in tandem, and it became the basic training type for a wide circle of users and was built in large series. The design was deliberately simple and rugged so that it could handle operations from poorer surfaces as well.
You will appreciate metal probes mostly later, while looking after a finished model. Dust is taken off a display case piece with a soft brush or a blower, and that is exactly the moment when plastic probes most often break. A metal part survives it. When fitting, remember that the brass pin is smooth: the joint holds mechanically in the hole, so drill the hole as tight as you can and use the glue only to help. If you paint the probe, count on a primer for metal; without one the paint comes off at the first wipe.
This is an accessory for modelers. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
