This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet aircraft in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The Akrobat edition concentrates on the single-seat aerobatic version, the L-29A. The package combines the plastic sprues with the parts needed for the correct form of this version and contains decals for Czechoslovak schemes.
The Delfin was the first jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design and became the main trainer of a whole range of Warsaw Pact states. It stood out for its simple, robust engineering, easy maintenance and forgiving behavior in training. The single-seat aerobatic L-29A version was adapted for display and aerobatic flying and differed from the ordinary two-seat trainer form.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage and mask the canopy glazing, painting it at the end. Apply a primer and bring out the engraved panels with a fine wash. Training and aerobatic machines often carry bold areas of color that help to pick the aircraft out in the air; apply the decals and the masks onto a smooth surface unified with a matte or gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
